Despite the slightly misleading name, you won't find an aviary full of birds at his bar. Nor will you find a room full of scantily clad and available women (if women are ??birds', what are men?). What will greet you as you waltz into the Birdcage Bar is your typical cocktail joint - although you will find many birds of a feather (*boom-boom-tish*) flocking here for their feed of live music and classy cocktails. Nothing new here, but nothing to scare anyone looking for a simple place to relax.

But wow, baby, this is one cocktail bar. And that's meant in the strictest, casino-bar meaning of the words ?cocktail bar'. Why so? Well, forgetting the commanding, circular bar serving all manner of alcoholic treats, the decor and lighting all seem to adhere to a carbon mould. Look beyond this and you'll find ice-cold beers (Cascade, Boags, Stella, Guinness, Heineken to name a few), a stunning selection of champagne (duh, this is a casino) and bartenders ready to mix all your desires.

Jazz fans will also be happy with the regular live music line-ups. Featuring local acts and the occasional interstate identities, the offerings are more diverse than they are predictable, casino tunes. Add to this a selection of finely tuned alcohol - it's a casino, so throw on a cosmo or a tasty daiquiri - and you needn't leave at all.
