Halo

Editorial Review

Your halo may slip a little as you find your dancing wings at this throbbing club, where both local DJs and those from faraway lands drop by regularly to spin you away to cloud nine.

Editorial Review

There's one very good reason why those folks on the mainland are in a constant state of jealousy over our small slice of heaven down south: Halo. Minimalist design, featuring cool lines and muted tones, keeps this club at the forefront of aesthetic satisfaction, while a focus on up-beat house and world-class beats make this your number one stop for all things dance. Featuring more international acts -Plump DJs, Meat Katie, Cut La Roc, Bukem and Conrad, Krafty Kuts, Freq Nasty and many more - than a Vegas nightclub, Halos has been at the forefront of the Hobart club scene for many years.

And while the dancefloor may get hotter than molten lava, the drinks are always ice cold (except the ones people leave lying around the pace - so rude!), with pole position going to those relatively new yet soulless sorts, the pre-mixed drink. And while it may not look as cool to swing around a Breezer while eyeing off your next prey on the dancefloor, it certainly is a little more convenient than lugging around a cocktail. But with the amount of love the staff lavish upon any request to ?get me really hammered!', it's hard not to order that 4th martini.
