Editorial Review
You've heard the saying, ??everything old is new again'? Well nowhere else will you find that ideal embodied more than at the Telegraph hotel. No, you won't find old-timers, nattering away about the ??good ol' days'. Nor will you find an old Australia Post Office or ANZ bank wittily renamed (why do some people insist that square-shaped blocks will fit in round holes?) to pull in those who appreciate a pun. Not here, ma'am.
The old, deco facade of this unassuming pub belies the modern and stylish atmosphere inside. At the Telegraph, you'll find many sterling gems of the hospitality trade (stainless steal trims, funky overhead lights and designer furniture that wasn't ordered from an Ikea catalogue), all wrapped up in staff who still know the meaning of the word ?service'. They won't even bat an eye when your request another round of time-consuming Cosmopolitans. Sure, their lives would be easier if you simply asked for a pint of Guinness or Beez Neez, but while you're dropping in, it's their turn to make your life easier.
The entertainment here is a mix of DJs spinning all your favourite vinyl (think: top 40 dance tracks) and live bands getting their rock and/or folk on. Mind you, you'd best be in early, lest you have to elbow a few suits or students out of the way to make it to the bar ? not that we condone that sort of conduct. Enjoy!
